translated into Babel or Babylon, an ancient city of Babylonia located on the banks of the Euphrates.
Two things :
- The Biblical Tower of Babel, where mankind were confused with many different languages (Genesis 11:1-9). Some archaeological findings.
- mentioned in the Qur'an in connection with Solomon.

The Qur'an mentioned the two angels at Babel, Harut and Marut, and from them came divisions between man and wife. Solomon is also mentioned in the same verse.
