A Visual Journey Through the Book
It was a cold December morning in Toronto in 1973 when Benny Hinn's life changed forever. The Holy Spirit entered his room in a visible, powerful way—not as a distant force, but as a real Person, filling his room with tears of wonder and joy.
Standing in the freezing dark cold before sunrise outside First Presbyterian Church, Benny waited with hundreds of others in a snowstorm. He felt an uncontrollable shaking come over his body, a physical manifestation of the spiritual electricity building up inside him.
Inside the church, Benny witnessed the healing ministry of Kathryn Kuhlman. In a moment of intense grief and passion, she sobbed, begging: "Please, don't grieve the Holy Spirit... He's all I've got!" These words pierced Benny's soul and ignited a hunger to know this Person.
Back in the darkness of his Toronto bedroom, Benny Hinn knelt and prayed a simple, childlike prayer: "Holy Spirit, Kathryn Kuhlman says you are her friend. Can I meet you?" Instantly, the electric power of God returned, wrapping him in a warm blanket of peace.
Born in the ancient and historic city of Jaffa, Israel, Benny was raised in a strict, multilingual environment. Afflicted with a severe stutter from childhood, he was isolated and rejected, creating a deep need for the ultimate Comforter.
In a powerful high school vision, an angel broke Benny's chains and placed him outside Georges Vanier Secondary School. Soon after, during a student prayer meeting, he gave his life to Jesus and heard the voice of the Spirit for the first time.
Benny Hinn woke up early the next morning and uttered his first words of the day: "Good morning, Holy Spirit!" Instantly, the presence returned. From that moment, the Bible came alive, and he began a daily communion that would touch millions worldwide.
